On this day they were at the Aquarium and the Petronas Twin Towers filming until the end of the day. Sire leaves the Group After the filming, Sire left the group and returned to Hong Kong for a performance at the Children's Music Award Presentation Ceremony. She will be dressed as a "Intelligent Goddess" along with Charlene Choi (Ah Sa) and Kay Tse. She will be back on the 30th to join the Tourism Trip. She said she doesn't feel pressured. On the other hand, she is very happy because it is her first time after the competition attending a live show. She will be dancing during the show and it's pretty difficult, therefore she will be rehearsing when she returns to Hong Kong.

I am very happy for Sire because I know that she has been waiting for this opportunity for a long time. She enjoys it a lot. I believe Sire was chosen out of the four because as all of you should know she is interested in the entertainment circle and that the company is preparing her for further performances. Miss Hong Kong Edelweiss, Skye, Sire, and Samantha along with hostess Sharon Luk and Yoyo Chen departed to Kuala Lumpur for an eight day filming trip. As long as they arrived, they were invited to a night ceremony. The four appeared in qipao, but Sharon and Yoyo wore a v low cut dress which took the spotlight of the night. Sharon was said to be the champion of the night. Sharon responded, "No, I didn't take the spotlight and my dress was sponcered by the company. I think the qipao was more beautiful and that it was newly done." (Why aren't you wearing a qipao?" Sharon answered, "I gained some weight. The one I wore back during the competition was a little too tight for me." As for the sexiness, are you afraid that you will leak some parts? She laughed, "It's very safe. I don't think it's a problem."

I think the qipao makes them look old. It's probably because of the color. I would advise them to tie up Edelweiss hair because she doesn't look like a MHK that way. I am excited for the trip!
Miss Hong Kong 1st runner up Skye Chan and Tourism Ambassador Samantha Ko was attending a function promoting a program from Pearl Channel. Skye revealed that she will be traveling to Malaysia for a Tourism Interview along with the others girls. They will be at Genting Hotel.
The reporters warned their are many ghosts at the Glenting Hotel. The former flight assistant Skye said, "I used to travel to different areas. My workmates often tell ghost stories, but I won't listen to them because I am extremely imaginative. Although, I believe in faith, but I also believe that I won't be punished if I didn't do anything against myself. I can live in a room by myself." On the other hand, Skye said that she does do exercise therefore she isn't afraid of wearing a swimsuit.

As for the Miss Hong Kong pageants who lost, Ana Man, Angela Yiu, Iris Tse, and Denise Wong is entering the entertainment circle. Due to the fact that TVB has no newly promoted host, Angela will probably be promoted. Asked in regarding the unplaced pageants and men, Virginia Lok replied, "We have many contracted artist this year that are inexperienced, therefore we will be creating acting class for them." (What about Mister Hong Kong champion, Michael Chu?) She answered, "He will be returning to his studies, but he might be back after a few months." Mister Hong Kong men, Calvin Lui, Quinn Ho, and Dickson Wong announced that they will be staying.

I am not surprised that Angela is contracted, but as for the rest, I am shocked. I thought Denise already decided that she will be returning to Australia for her studies, Iris will be continuing her music career, and Ana isn't staying. On the other hand, I predicted that Nadia and Jovy would give it a chance. However, there is the chance that they weren't chosen. Well, I supported Calvin during the Mister Hong Kong competition and I am glad to hear that he is staying. Always, I would be glad that Hilda stayed, but I support her choice.
Edelweiss, Skye, and Sire along with Sharon Luk and ah Lek was promoting for Olympics. The host asked if did Sharon Luk watch the Olympics. Ah Lek answered for her, "She hosts the show with me, how can she not watch it." Edelweiss already flew to Beijing to interview the players. She said that she hopes to see YauMing so they can compare heights with each other. As for the critisms of the Miss Hong Kong, Edelweiss said that she is prepared and that she doesn't mind. She will not pressure herself too much. On the other hand, the two stations are both broadcasting the Olympics, but TVB has reached around 26 while ATV suffers in 9 points.

Kayi Cheung along with former althlete Cindy Li is hosting the 2008 BeiJing Olympics for TVB. They were frequently stressed with the wrong words and nonsense verbiage and entirely void of ignorance and performance, therefore they were criticized strongly by the netizens. TVB was afraid that the situation would get worse which then they were sent for other outside BeiJing hosting.

It seems like Kayi needs some improvements in order to full fill her hosting dream. I am not sure why Cindy was chosen to be one of the host for BeiJing Olympics. I is not good when she is being heavenly criticized.
Current Miss Hong Kong winners Edelweiss, Skye Chan and Tourism Ambassador Samantha along with TVB Child Ambassador Kay Tse were at Tsim Sha Tsui Cultural Discovery Gallery attending the TVB child function. There were hundred of parents with the kids who attended the function. Sire failed to attend this function because of personal issues. This is Edelweiss's first time at the Cultural Discovery Gallery. She revealed that she doesn't have any problems facing the kids. It was spotted that she has a lot of pimples on her forehead. She joked, "It's part of the growing process! I haven't been able to analysis about my skin problem." (Do you think it will get worse?) She replied, "Hopefully not. If I don't think about it, then I won't have any!" (Sire has had this problem before. do you plan on asking her?) She answered, "She told me to visit the doctor,but I haven't have the opportunity to do
so." (As the champion you should care about your beauty more.) Edelweiss said, "I have, but it isn't my fault. I can't control it."Skye favors kids and she does plan on having kids in the future. Probably about three. Li LiShan said once that it takes four million to raise a child, then you will have to spent $1,200,000,000. She laughed, "Two is not enough. Three would be perfect." Speaking of Edelweiss's pimples, Skye said that probably because she is pressured a lot and their has been plenty of jobs. (Do you have anything that would help her?) She revealed, "Besides staying happy, she should clean more. It wouldn't help if she uses any special shin care."
Webmaster's Thoughts: Sorry, but it seems that Edelweiss haven't grown although she said she has. Although I don't know her, but I sense that she is a really dependent person. How can she lead the other three in promoting Hong Kong. I also sense that she those type of person who procrastinates.
2008 Miss Hong Kong champion is the tallest MHK winner that ever appeared in history. That explains why she supported by so many beauty companies to attend functions. Will beauty height of 5'10, she wants to try the taste of being a model. On the other hand, she isn't interested in entering the entertainment circle. On August 13, Pedder Red invited Edelweiss to be one of the models for the the winter season outfits. After 4 inches of high heals, she became the the tallest of all. She said that this is her first job after the competition. Due to the fact that she majored in fashion back in the Unites States, therefore she is very interested. I want to be a model. She said, "I want to be a model more than appearing in shows." (Do you wear high heals regularly?) Edelweiss answered, "I don't wear them often unless I am attending a very special function." She laughed that her boyfriend is taller that her.

I will support Edelweiss as a model more than entering the entertainment circle. However, she needs to learn how to control her legs and hands so that it doesn't swing into the way. She also needs to practice and know the right facial expression to present rather than just keeping her smile on.
Honestly, it is very hard for me to translate articles of Edelweiss after the Miss Hong Kong competition. I hope that I don't sound bias.
The eleven years long of the Miss Macau had it's press conference on August 12, 2008. #5 mixed pageants is the most outstanding among the ten pageants, however Konnie Lui took their spotlight on this day due to her sexy dress. The finals will be on September 7, 2008. Mandy Cho, Kinnie Lui, Edelweiss Cheung, Skye Chan, and Sire Ma was invited as guests for the press conference. The ten pageants are very educated, between age 19 -26. #5 was the most noticeable based on beauty. Her height and beauty has brought Mandy Cho and Konnie Lui's support. #5 believes that her ability to speak Cantonese, Mandrian, English, and Portuguese will benefit her from promoting Macau. Konnie appeared in a secy dress which took many of the pageant's spotlight. She revealed that she remembers #5 the most: "Probably it's because she is mixed, it makes her really sharp." 08 Miss Hong Kong Champion Edelweiss revealed that they were very calm. She is supporting Ng JiaYi because she thinks she is dignified. Actually Mandy Cho was one of the judges for the pre-interviews for 2008 Miss Macau. She thinks that #5 can represent Miss Macau. (Will you select a boyfriend who is mixed?) Mandy said, "Mu boyfriend must be a Chinese because I am very traditional. My other has to care about family."

One thing I think Mandy deserves to win the title of Miss Hong Kong top sister is because she knows the meaning of a beauty competition while some will only judge on outlook or personality. I haven't heard any of the pageant's speak,but by far I favor 3,2, and 7.
Three 2008 Miss Hong Kong winners which includes: champion Edelweiss, 1st runner up Skye and 2nd runner up Sire was accepting an interview like any previous year. All three of them revealed that they submitted in their application sometime near the deadline. They have experienced a lot through this competition.
Edelweiss laughed and said that her most successful thing is to learn how to wear high heals during a catwalk. She said that she isn't frustrated about the personal photos the reporters took and that she will try to do better such as meeting up in places with less people. Sire said that she is now more mature. She isn't as wild anymore.
Skye revealed that she wants to challenge herself.
All three of them agreed that they now are really good friends because they have really similar attitudes. They all hope to have further opportunities such as acting, singing, hosting, and so forth.

Miss Hong Kong 1st runner up, Skye Chan along with MHK participants Samantha and Jovy won $60,000 during the Caribbean trip. They donated all money to WaiYin Association to help the earthquake in SiChuen. When WaiYin president, Winnie Yeung accepted the check, she praised they it was very knid for them to do so. While, WaiYin has already collected $2,000,000 for the citizens there. Skye said that all three of them was very willing to donate the prize. In regarding the long hair(wig), her boyfriend doesn't matter whether it's long or short. Currently, he is busy with his studies overseas, therefore they have not celebrated yet.

I thought it was extremely nice and surprising for them to donate all their prizes to help with the earthquake. That proves that they are really there for the fun and experience rather than wanting to win a position. Nice to see Jovy after the competition.
2007 Miss Hong Kong winners were preparing for Olympics. Speaking of 2008 Miss Hong Kong, there is plenty of negative rumors. Loretta said that there is a lot every year. She think the pageants this year have very high qualities. Both of them revealed that they will be entering TVB for further opportunities. (What opportunities would you like?) Grace said that she is interested in acting and singing. However, after joining "Strictly Come Dance" and winning the dancing queen, many people thinks that she should participate in further dancing events. Many oversea fans is hoping that she will appear in dramas!

Grace's popularity has been increasing rapidly after she joined "Strictly Come Dance". You can see the number of comments in her TVB blog and I believe a lot more visits much just not willing to make a comment. I think it has been very lucky for Grace that she is having so many extra opportunities before she enters TVB, but of course she needs to her own abilities to have such a great performance. Since Kayi was so disliked by so many, they paid much more attention to the others. It was like a bonus for her, since she had fans before already. I don't think she cares which opportunities she will face because she was unsure which ones she was aiming for. I would say that she should focus on acting because she was already were active and feel during the Miss Hong Kong competition. This is what you call born to act. I believe that she will have a great success in TVB and that she has so many supporters now.
As for Loretta, I believe she will focus mainly on her singing since that is her interest and TVB has given her an opportunity to perform. Did anyone hear the subtheme from Forensic Heroes 2? I think she sang amazingly, but I don't see how many opportunities can see get form that. I would not advice her to get into acting because she is rather stiff and too tall as an actress. We can't find too many co-stars for her.
I don't know about Kayi at this point, but I wish her the best of luck in her future. I advice her to do hosting. She will go better than acting. I liker her voice!

2008 Miss Hong Kong has successfully occurred. Hot favorite, #7 Hilda failed to win a position. On the other hand, the bad image pageant, #3 Edelweiss took the crow seat. Many online Miss Hong Kong sites have been complaining over the results while they have been supporting Hilda Leung to take the champion. It was spotted that a picture on the 2008 Miss Hong Kong official website that Hilda will be taking the crown. It was suspected that something will be wrong with the results this year.
The three new Miss Hong Kong winners attended a press conference. Edelweiss said that she doesn't mind with the complains of her online and she also understands that everyone has a different perspective, therefore she will not pay much attention to that. She revealed that she is has grown up now and she is stepping to a different world of her life. In the future, she will establish a Miss Hong Kong image that the audience prefers. The vice Miss Hong Kong manager, Rose Chan highly praised Edelweiss that she has improved a lot with in these two months and that she is very hardworking. The manager dealing with foreign affairs explained that the Miss Hong Kong results were to updated live. It is possible that the picture was posted up before the competition or that someone was trying to ruin our image. We will be researching about this problem to other departments in the following week. Hilda Crying over the Results? After the competition, the remaining pageants attend the party hosted by the company. Although Hilda wasn't placed, but she isn't disappointed because she didn't expect anything. In addition, she has already tried her best. On the other hand, she is now more relaxed that the competition is over. (Will you try over the results?) Hilda revealed, "I did cry, but not because I am disappointed. It is because that moment was so emotional. #12 Denise's eyes were red during the party. (Did you cry?) She said that she was is very touched. #4 Samantha failed to take a position. She said, "I lost because of the debate. After the ceremony, the hot favorites were interviewed. Edelweiss had to return to the station to take picture for the TVB cover until 4:00 A.M.. While Samantha was driven back with the company's car at !:00 A.M. to He WenTeen's house.

I teared when translating this article although I am not one of the pageants. Due to the fact, that I caught up with every function that they attended, it is like attending it with them. The feeling of leaving after two months of living together is extremely painful. Those unplaced are not back to original people. The came for the experience and left with 11 ever lasting friendships.
No offense to any Edelweiss supporters, but I was more the extremely against with what she said "establishing a Miss Hong Kong image that the audience likes" What is the purpose of her representing Miss Hong Kong if she isn't using herself to represent Hong Kong. If then we don't need her to represent Hong Kong. Many past Miss Hong Kong champions are so successful as their MHK image is because they have a image of themselves and not going along with the majority. Shame...
