Special: 2008 Miss Hong Kong Official Portrait

I found Skye's MHK official portrait. Usually, the top three winners have one, but it was never released. I believe this is in replacement of Edelweiss's photo. People were discussing whether Skye was wearing the champion's crown. The answer is no. The champion crown has a different central pattern and more tilted towards that back.
This picture is beautiful and captures the personality of Skye. Pure, gentle, beauty. Her face just blends in with everything of the photo. Her hair, smile, eye contact, outfit, and background match perfectly.

News Article: 2/13/2009 Sire and Lily Not Afraid of Being Aimed

Lily Ho and Sire Ma attended a function at the Olympian City. It was pointed out earlier that there are eight categories in the entertainment circle and one of them includes 'acting cute' Miss Hong Kong. Both of them insinuate into the category.
Sire responded, "Don't worry; you won't be scared if you are innocent. I only think that everyone is very nice to me. There are no reports on that, therefore I won't believe in it."
Lily stated, "I haven't been paying attention to it and it isn't specifically aiming at anyone. The reports are making the entertainment circle more difficult. However, it is not as complicated as personal relations are. If you aren't capable, you won't be no matter which circle you are at."

Webmaster's Thoughts:
Sire responded with no evidence to support point and most of us should know that the entertainment circle is not as 'nice' like she said (no offense). She responded in a way as if she was bribing. However, Lily seems to be focusing on her abilities rather that using relationships to climb the latter. I do not want to judge further as I may make false interpretations, but I must admit that most are not innocent in the circle.

News Article: 2/04/2009 Edelweiss is FROZEN!

Edelweiss was crowned Miss Hong Kong last year and she has been using sickness to ignore her jobs such as failing to complete Miss Chinese International competition. In additional she has been going against TVB, explaining to the media that she did not summit any sick notices. As a result, TVB decides to freeze her to an extend that she will not be participating in the oversea promotion event held next week. This MHK only has the title, but not the position.
Edelweiss used sick as her shield to take off for three weeks. Within this time, she was spotted with her boyfriend out on a date, acting as if TVB was invisible. Meanwhile, TVB contacted her mother hoping that she will advice Edelweiss. However, Edelweiss had no exceptions even to her mother. TVB thinks she is not realizing her faults. She is not completing her tasks and is unwilling to turn over her title. TVB has given up on her.
Skye is given a heavy job
The next year-round MHK will have its promotions the following week. TVB will turn the job over to Skye and Sire along with previous oversea MHK winners such as Sonija and Kayi to support the stage for the promotions clips, posters, and functions.
(TVB's Deputy Director of the Foreign Affairs was questioned in regarding ditching Edelweiss.) He responded, “The purpose of not using Edelweiss is because she has submitted a doctors not and we are respecting the profession advice that she needs rest. We will not answer further."

Webmaster's Thoughts:
Skye might be titled champion if Edelweiss happens to turn it over. This women does not know what she is doing. How is she representing herself as Miss Hong Kong? SHAME ON HER! Edelweiss, don't go around tell people that you are Miss Hong Kong! It is around that time of the year, ladies, 2009 Miss Hong Kong promotion. I have been waiting it for quite some while. It is great how they will be inviting previous oversea winners to support the promotion events. Soooooooooo exciting for eerything!!!

I will be putting up an announcement, poll, member of the month, and others within this week. I just wanted an update for you all and to ensure for the MHKD is official back. Aren't you excited? I know you are. haha... I am really tried know and I want some sleep or else I would update more for you.

I didn't want to make too further predictions in the beginning because it is very hard to judge within such as short time. It is just impossible to know enough of them. I didn't even get a chance to hear some of their voices. My predictions are based on the 3 video clips and the photo gallery. It sounds kind of ridiculous. I am sorry, but I have this feeling that Vancouver will win instead.
What she beats CiCi is her beauty CiCi is cute and sweet, but Christine has this Chinese international beauty and she seems to look perfect with the crown. Christine gives me this feeling that is she shy and independent. In this case, I think it is better to be dependant because this is group cooperation. She isn't as open and selfless.

CiCi looks very energetic. Her smile is very generous and cute. As for her presentation for the Oriental Charm award, her thoughts were general yet it's Chinese tradition. Her enthusiasm is worth come credit.

I am pretty excited in this years MCI. Looks like the conditions have gotten better. I couldn't even hear their answers to the interview. 28 pageants is to much for me to watch. It would be better it they were divided into groups are something like that. I seems as if we are traveling back to the 80's where MHK had 30 contestants. I am sure some will blabber though, and it is a waste of my time.
Any how, wishing them the best of luck during the finals and that they gained more that they excited during their visit to Hong Kong!!! GOOD LUCK...

News Article: 1/16/2009 Final Rehersal

Hong Kong representative, Skye Chan is appearing in her most fit body figure for the final rehearsals. After the nominations from the 28 pageants, Skye is announced as 2009 Miss Chinese International 'Miss Friendship'. When the reporters asked the pageants to congratulate her, then remained at their positions. It was hilarious. The reporters reminded them multiple times before the went up presenting the flower, lisses, and hugs to her.

Although #5 has a 35.5 inch breast, but her body isn't average overall. She admits that she isn't keeping, but she thinks that healthy is the most important. She said that it isn't to late to package after she wins an award. She said, "I can change my body figure, but it is enough that I have intelligence. YOU reporters should see how the judges elect first!"

Christine became a shot after given the nickname 'Toronto Kelly Lin'. She was very confident at the rehersals. She thinks she wins at understanding Cantonese. (Who do you have confidence with?) She said, "Every pageant has their own uniquness. It is hard to chose." (Will you be disappointed if you don't win?) She replied, "Then I will have to think that other people thought I won."

Webmaster's Thoughts:
I was not surprised that Skye won. In fact I would be if she didn't win. She is performing the best compared to the other two in other beauty competitions. Although #5 claims that she has intellegence, but judging based on her interview she already fails. her attitude is unacceptable. You aren't here to win, but to represent your place. Winning will be the bonus. I have this feeling is over confident.

News Article: 1/13/2009 Meeting the Judges

28 pageants met the final judges on this day. #4, #6, #17 appeared in low cut dresses beating Hong Kong contestant yet she still defended, "I win at average!" #4 replied, "If I am expressing a good body, I must need a good bikini." Although she is sexy, but she has pimples on her face, ruining the good side of her.!
Facing all these strong contestants, Skye doesn't lose her confidence, "We have been filming oftenly: therefore, I do a lot of exercise. I am quite fit!" (Are you confident?) She replied, "Yes, I should have confident because I am representing Hong Kong!" (You self-picked gown for tonight isn't as attractive.) Skye defended, "If you want to see a good body figure, you should wear a bikini!" (Other contestants have flat chests.) Skye said, "It is a present. Everyone is different. My mom granted me a very equal body! The competition is almost over. I feel as if we accomplished something big!" (Did you ever contact Edelweiss?) She answered embassassly, "I did contact Sire and Samantha."
There are some contestants this year who have taken nude pictures before. Singapore representative reported publicly that she has more than ten boyfriends, but the judges said that is will not affect their image. Susanna said, "Inner and outer beauty is both important." (Singapore reported publicly that she has more than ten boyfriends.) She responded, "Having the courage to report isn't an issue."
The performers will be "Most Favorate Male and Female Singer" Leo Ku and Miriam Yeung. The swinsuit event will be based on a self selected bikini. Top 8 will be covered by host and performer Eric, Ron, and Bosco taking top 5 then 3.

Webmaster's Thoughts:
I wonder if Edelweiss will attend the show. Other performers besides Ron and Bosco in cludes Grace that I see form the video posted below. I like all three of them. Very excited!!! I am glad that the host is Eric. Will not be a good show without him.
