12/31/2008 MCI Press Conference

The 28 2008 Miss Chinese International pageants had there press conference. Miss Toronto has a chance of being crowned champion due to her clear skin, body figure, and beauty.
The pageants appeared in short dresses for a simple self introduction. HangZhou pageant present her speech in sign language. The beauties of this year would be pageants representing form NanJing, New York, Toronto and Hong Kong. Although Miss Toronto(Christine Kuo) is the oldest among the all(25 years old), but when she was asked which part of her is beautiful she said, "I am a all-around beauty!" She revealed that Toronto hasn't won for many years and she hopes to bring glory for Toronto. She said, "A lot of people say I look like all of these other stars, but I think I look like myself the most."

Webmaster's Thoughts:
I am pretty confident in Skye's performance. I don't have my predictions at this point. I usually have it during the show as I don't have time to recognize them before the show.

I love the back and white beginning of them four walking. I think Samantha had the best performance. Her enthusiasm suit the beach scene the most. the rest of the three was just unable to bring out the status to convince people. The dresses in the beginning were great too.

12/30/2008 TVB's Responce

Edelweiss used health issues as an excuse to withdraw from MCI with Skye replacing her. However, she defended that she isn't sick, but only not used to the work. TVB isn't satisfied with her thus freezing her. TVB top manager explained that Edelweiss isn't familiar with worldly wisdom and that she is doesn't have strength.
Virginia Lok just returned to Hong Kong from Singapore and that she has been concentrating to the news. She explained that there isn't announcement that Edelweiss is frozen. Lok said that she isn't too familiar with Edelweiss. She said that she has help during the MHK competition. After this event, Lok said that Edelweiss isn't familiar with worldly wisdom. She doesn't know how to respond in some cases, but she didn't do it on purpose. TVB explained that she is sick, but she responded that she isn't. Lok answered with maintenance, "Whether it is MHK or MCI, you need to be hard working due to all the function that you have to attend. Edelweiss has complained before when she was joining MHK, but I have told her to make it through." Lok think that she is lacking strength and that her family is hurt seeing their daughter suffering from pain. Edelweiss doesn't have her parents support for the second time to join so she isn't confident from winning. She also said that this will never happen in the artist department. If they are assigned to the job they must complete it because it is the promise to the company. Not that only one paper will solve the problem. If so, it will interrupt the job. Praising Sire with Strength Lok praised that Sire has strength in joining Miss International. She didn't kind being criticized of her body size and height. (Is it because Edelweiss has a good family condition.) Lok said, "There are many artist with good family conditions. It is just that she doesn't know worldly matters.
Sire accepted Lok's paising. She revealed, "I am very happy that she praised me, but it was only my job. I didn't want the company to be disappointed. I won't not compare too much." As for Edelweiss, she trusted that she isn't feeling well. She didn't wanted it to happen. Sire has gained a lot after these to competitions. She has grown and that she is really healthy. Sire revealed that the three of them are from the same year. They all are good friends. (There are news saying that Edelweiss is focusing on dating than working?) Sire said with maintenance, "I see that she is very concentrated with her work." (It is said that she isn't completing her task and that she doesn't prove to be the champion. Will you become 1st runner up instead?" Sire said in a way that she doesn't know how to answer, "TVB will not easily make up on such a big decision."

Webmaster's Thoughts:
I am think of this famous phase "You will have stories to listen to even though you don't you die at 100". This woman. Justs saying that Edelweiss isn't familiar with worldly matter can defend explaining that what Edelweiss said was false. However, I really agree with her that it is hard to win for the second time if she doesn't have her families support(money wise). Will Skye become the champion instead? Wow, this is getting so exciting.

12/30/2008 Skye in MCI

Skye replaced Edelweiss to participate in MCI. Earlier they were rehearsal in TVB station. Although they just met, but she is already very close to her group. There is one of the pageant in her group that is deaf that needs special teachers, therefore, the other pageants also learn some basic sign language to communicate with her.
Speaking that there are reports that Edelweiss was with her family for supper. Skye revealed that she heard of the news before, but haven't read the paper yet. (Did Edelweiss contact you?) Skye said, "I haven't seen her since she was sick, but I am hapy to know that she is ok." (Edelweiss said that she is fine, but TVB explained that she is sick?) Skye replied, "I don't know! Just happy to know that she is fine." (She said that she isn't used to working.) Skye reported, "I am hard working. I need to rest to." (That's why you replaced her.) Skye responded, "Don't say replace. I will work hard. I believe in faith. It is the way it is. If I got it, I will take it as a present." (Are you confident in this competition?) She said, "I have your support. In additional, I have experience from three beauty competition."
On the other hand, there are rumors that Edelweiss failed to complete her task. As a result, TVB decides to ditch her from the New Year celebration. While Skye and Sire will rotary the boss in. Skye responded that she doesn't know. She is inconvenient in speaking of these business. now she is only concentrating in MCI's performance.

Webmaster's Thought:
I don't know why Edelweiss is appearing with all these news around her. Is she really thinking that these news(rumors) will bring her popularity. I am very confident that Skye will win Miss Friendship especially when there are some many pageants unfamiliar with Cantonese. They are saying that Skye was experience in three competitions,but I can only count two.

12/29/2008 Edelweiss Status

It was announced earlier that Miss Hong Kong Champion Edelweiss will not participate in MCI due to health issues. Edelweiss went out to supper with her family earlier. When she was being interviewed, she confidently said, "I am not sick!" (Will you give up your MHK title?) She didn't respond to the question.
22 year old Miss Hong Kong Edelweiss rejected her duty to join 2009 MCI. As a result 1st runner up Skye replaced her spot. Due to the fact, that Edelweiss isn't completing her job for more than once, it was rumored that she is being frozen by TVB.
Rich Edelweiss went to supper with her family on this night. Now that there will be reporters outside, MHK Edelweiss didn't bother. her father held up he peace sign to show support for her lovely daughter. The group met at 7 in Tsim Sha Tsui Miramar Shopping Center to enjoy some ShangHai dishes.
Although she was dressed as sick patient, but she looked very concentrated. She looked nothing like she was sick. It seemed as if she was prepared for being interviewed. She responded that she will first rotary her grandfather up and then come down for the reporters to ask questions and take pictures as much as we want. (Are you frozen by TVB?) She responded, "You would have to ask TVB in regarding that. I am off for only two to three weeks." (How is your sick?) She replied, "TVB said I was sick. I am not sick. I am not use to working. The doctors said I am fatigue. They told me to rest more." (Do you need to take any medicine?" Edelweiss said, "I don't need to take any medicine."
Edelweiss has been failing to complete her MHK tasks. (Will you be giving up your MHK title?) She replied in big reaction, "I will not respond to your question!" (Is your boyfriend here?) She said he needs to work." (Why does he have to work on the weekends.) She pointed towards to reports, "You have to work too." MCI participants already have arrived in Hong Kong preparing for the final on January 17. Today they came to the station for rehearsals. There is a participant form HangZhou that is deaf. She needed five teachers to translate for her. On the other hand, there was rumors that one pageant has once taken porn photos. It is said that they need to examine the photos before the decide whether they will accountability.

So much to digest from this. I was wondering, isn't Edelweiss afraid that TVB will chase after her since she broke the explanation saying that she is sick. As TVB is trying to find her an excuse, here she depends herself. It would be interesting if Edelweiss gave up her MHK title. It would probably be the first time in MHK his history. There have been request from MHK forums that Hilda should have took her position instead. I agree. A deaf pageant. Very interesting. I wonder how she will do recording.

12/29/2008 Edelweiss

On this day Sire, Samantha, Lily, and Joey attended a Carnival function playing games and delivering out presents to little kids.
There have been rumors indicating that Edelweiss got frozen from TVB due to the fact that she used sickness to be excused from participating in MCI. Or you can defend her using the point that she is withdrawing because of health issues. That she is very concentrated to her work. Sire and Samantha responded, "We have never heard of Edelweiss being frozen. She is just not feeling well. We have contacted her, but she has to rest so she hasn't responded to us." There are rumors that she is faking. They replied, "We have seen her since her last function knowing that she has visited to doctor. She said she is suffering from allergic rhinitis and asthma. She had to control her sick while working." Joey pitted Edelweiss that she withdraw due to her sick. There was rumors saying that she has a bad working attitude. He explained disagreeing, "We were performing together at a magic show earlier. She working very hard during rehearsals. I believer she will be fine after she heals."
Lily wants to invest in Singing
Lily performed singing for this event. She responded that she is interesting in singing. (Are you interested in being a singer?) She said, "I love to sing. I have found singing teachers after entering the showbiz. Hopefully, I will have further singing performances." She stared in Pages of Treasure and netizens praised that she isn't bad. She said in thanks, "I had plenty of up to date dialogues, even my mom asked me the meaning."

Webmaster's Thoughts:
I will not find it surprising if you told me the Edelweiss is faking this, but how about her report. Did she fake that as well? If so, the only reason I find for her not wanting to participate is that she is afraid of loosing. She hasn't updated any news to her blog. How many of you have seen Lily in Pages. For those of you who have not, it is recommended to me whether it is the series or to show support for Lily. I think her acting is good for a newbie. Way better that promoted Suki(no offense). The series is really relaxing to enjoy during dinner time. I haven't heard Lily sing before, but nice to know that she is interested. I believe that an artist is suppose to be talented or at least familiar with everything. To Lily: ask advice from Lorretta.

Skye Replacing Edelweiss

Current Miss Hong Kong Edelweiss is suffering form health issues, therefore shje is unable to attend the 2009 Miss Chinese International competition. On this day, TVB announced that 1st runner up Skye Chan will replace Edelweiss. In addition, the Deputy Director of the Foreign Affairs Department has received Edelweiss's health report. However, we aren't able to release any information in regarding her status due to the fact that it is he privacy. Just returning from Miss World, this isn't Skye's first time replacing Edelweiss. She revealed that, within half months, she has joined three beauty contest.
(Do you feel pressured?) Skye said, "I don't believe so. I think that the experience gained from Miss World will help me in MCI." She said, "I will perform myself." (Did you contact Edelweiss?) Skye replied, "I did MSN her when I was in South Africa. By that time, she told me that she wasn't feeling well." (Is it her emotional problems." Skye said, "I don't know about that, but hopefully you won't focus on that. (Does she know that you are replacing her?) Skye replied, "I believe the company has already notified her, but I haven't contacted her yet." (You don't care about her?) Skye said, "No. It is because I have just came back from Miss World and I have top prepare for MCI."
On the other hand, in 1988, Michelle was unable to attend other International competitions because she also suffered from health issues. TVB send the 1st runner up to replace her. This isn't the first time.

Webmaster's Thoughts:
It seems like the reporters are trying to make Skye admit that she is glad to replace Edelweiss. Lukily Reis was able to make it to MCIi or else MHK will lose a winners record. This is the first time that the champion fails to attend MCI, but not the first time to replace someone. So to be said, I believe that Edelweiss was suppose to represent to Miss World. Then, Sire isn't suppose to attend Miss International. TVB is just trying to promote her, pleasing that she will make a place to promote her further.

2009 Miss Chinese International

Recently, there have been many beauty contest issues going on. First with Miss Asia now Miss Hong Kong. Due to the fact that Edelweiss is having emotional problems. there are likely chances that Skye will replace Edelweiss. TVB is still waiting upon for the medical report, but they have notified Skye to standby. In additional Edelweiss is also suffering for headaches, vomiting, stomach pain, menstrual disorders, and insomnia.
During competition there was evidence of her smoking, drinking, and kissing with her boyfriend, David 22 years old Miss Hong Kong Edelweiss is has been causing many gossip. During the MHKChu on the streets. She is ruining the MHK reputation. Then there was rumors of her father buying the MHK position for Edelweiss, due to the fact that he once before was a MHK sponsor.
Although, Edelweiss pledged that she will quit her bad habit and to keep a low profile with her boyfriend, but she believes that love is more important. She continues to hold hands in public with her boyfriend. It was reported yesterday that Edelweiss suffered though some emotional problems, therefore she called for some days off form work. As a result she will withdraw form the 2009 Miss Chinese International competition. When TVB MHK mother clarified the situation, she replied that she will respond to the press by 3:00 P.M.. Will Edelweiss withdraw form the competition? MHK mother didn't deny.

Webmaster's Thoughts:
Sigh... I wonder what is wrong with Edelweiss. I have once read on the newspaper that Edelweiss might have eating disorders, due to her body weight and height. I am not surprised that she doesn't have a healthy body. Personally, I think Samantha will perform better in 2009 MCI, but I don't think she has the spirit. It was said that this is the first year not to have the MHK champion represent Hong Kong. It is silly how that for Miss World and Miss International that people prefer Edelweiss to join instead, due to her height.

Miss Asia

Miss Hong Kong Shirley Yeung, Grace Wong, Skye Chan, Sire Ma, and Samantha Ko attended the InterContinental Hotels of the Pok Oi Charity Dinner.
As previous MHK winner, Shirley Yeung was questioned about the Miss Asia competition results. She responded, "I saw it on the news, but I am not familiar with there situation."
As for current MHK winners, "As a television station, we don't think they will reelect due to the fact that they invested so much to it. However, wish them good luck." (The reporters asked in regarding TVB." Three of them answered, "FAIR, every company has their own way of handling their situations. If you joined the competition in the first place, you must be confident about yourself. We learn a lot through the competition. Winning or loosing isn't as important.
Grace responded, "I have been pay attention to this news. There is a lot of news from beauty contests, but I also believe that it is a very good experience. Everyone has their own perspective of thinking, I don't know if my belief is wrong. The issue is solved, therefore we should look ahead instead."

Webmaster's Thoughts: The first thing came into my mind was the 2007 Miss Hong Kong competition when there were rumors that there will be a reelection. I am unsure about their sitution, but the chances of a reelection is low because then the company is admitting that their were some issues through the competition. I have read some headtitles of some articles and I knew somwthing was wrong with it. I tried watching the show, but really didn't have the passion to finish it.

Thoughts in Miss World

Present Miss Hong Kong Skye went South Africa to compete for Miss World. The is the total of 112 pageants competing for the crown this Saturday, December 13,2008 at Johannesburg.

Unforgettable
After Skye arrived at SA, she took a tour around for the scenic spots. Among the places, Skye's most unforgettable spot was the trip to the Primeval forest because she road a jeep from her room to the dining area. Due to the fact that the ride took a hour, she was able to see different animals and plants. While the dining area, sometimes in the prairie and sometimes endless top of the hill. This reminded her of her studies when she picniced with her friends.

They were arranged to live in a different room every night, each with different themes and characteristics. She also tried to move into a cottage, which was the most unforgettable.

Althought the contest is within a week, but all the pageants were happily for all the reheasals and activites. This is including Skye, she was able to match perfectly with the other repesentatives especially Ireland, Italy, France, Iceland, China, Chinese Taipei and Germany on behalf of the most congenial conversation.

Webamster's Thoughts: Long time since my last update. How have you all been. This is the only artical by far that I found of Skye since the competition began and the final is in a week. Since the final isn't held in China, there would be less news report on that. I may end up not watching the competition since there are so many pageants having so less events. I couldn't really stand Miss International when I was watching it and I never finihed it anyhow. Good Luck Skye... Glad that she is enjoying her trip!

No offence...but what do you think of the video. I exprected her english to be way better that was she had had. it seemed as if she had a string British of Irish accent. I didn't feel too comfortable with the video. She showed a more innocent side of her than with confidence. However, without a doubt she looked gorgeous especially with her hair and accessories.
